At the 2023 spring luncheon for faculty across the schools of Catholic University, which took place in the Pryzbyla University Center on April 24th, Provost Aaron Dominguez presented the annual provost’s awards recognizing faculty for teaching. L. R. Poos, Ordinary Professor in the Department of History, received the Provost’s Award for Overall Teaching Excellence. Noting that Professor Poos was marking the completion of his 40th year of service at the University, the Provost described the variety of his courses, from digital humanities to food history (with samples of historical recipes produced from Professor Poos’s own kitchen).
